hi , could anyone tell me the procedure to prime a new ace pump on disco 2 v8i as i think we may have damaged one by not priming it properly. we are using correct landrover fluid but it looks like the red atf fluid may have been in their before.
the new pump has a whine and also when you switch ignition on the ace light goes from red to normal and then goes out also there is the 2 bing bing tones when you start engine but no ace light stays on once running.
we do have movement of fluid in ace reservoir when running indicating pump is doing something.
have performed ace test on autologic and it always passes test. a couple of times ive had ace blocked filter fault codes come up and oil temp but no others. i dont know where the filter is
